Hurt
So many people suffer from this one thing: HURT, as a result of being offended or being rejected by another person or being disappointed in the outcome of the situation. This is something that can really drain the life out of a person if it is not dealt with.
God has a remedy for hurt. The Bible says that God is close to the broken hearted. Jesus said that He was anointed to heal the broken hearted. God cares about your heart, your disappointments and He wants to heal you. The opposite of being glad is being sad. It is the absence of joy and hurt can drain every bit of joy and gladness or happiness from your heart. It can make you sick. If a merry or joyful heart does good like a medicine, I wonder what the opposite of it does to us.
If you are suffering from emotional pain, hurt, an offense, bitterness or disappointment, I want you to know in your heart, first of all, that God did not bring this upon you or cause this to happen in your life. I want you to turn your heart towards God and cry out to him about your situation. Dump it on Him and ask Him to fix it. He wants to heal you and He will heal that hurt. He said vengeance is His. He will vindicate you! Don’t try to do it yourself. Forgive the person or persons and pray for them because they are going to need your prayers!
God will restore you and you won’t even remember the pain of that hurt. Bitterness in my heart is a terrible thing. It can cause cancer in your body or other sicknesses. Don’t allow the hurt and the pain or the unforgiveness to linger. Let it go! Receive your healing quickly. Don’t let this stay in you any longer than you already have. Get rid of it now! It’s deadly!
Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Isaiah 61:1 The Good News of Salvation “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
Psalms 34:18-19 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Psalms 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Romans 12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the mighty Name of Jesus. I ask You to heal the hurt in my heart. I ask you to remove all the bitterness and pain from me now. I ask you to forgive those who are responsible for this pain in my heart and I ask you to heal them, too. Father God, please remove from my body and from my life now, any curse of sickness or adverse circumstances that has come because of my unforgiveness and deliver me from everything associated with it. I love You, Heavenly Father, and I receive my healing now and I thank You! In Jesus’ mighty Name, I pray!
